About Nik

Nikolas Hughey is a former Infantry Officer in the United States Army whose experience spans military leadership, public policy, congressional engagement, and strategic analysis. During his military service, he led organizations in Alaska and supported joint and multinational operations throughout the Indo-Pacific and Arctic regions. He currently supports Carlough Solutions' government affairs, public policy, and strategic advisory engagements through research, stakeholder mapping, congressional analysis, and policy development.

He is currently pursuing an MBA at Georgetown University and has served in the United States Senate and supported legislative and public policy initiatives focused on national security, veterans affairs, workforce development, health and human services, and child welfare policy. His experience across government, public policy, and stakeholder engagement provides clients with analytical support, legislative insight, and a practical understanding of the federal decision-making environment.
